Goa

G for Goa
Arjun's first flight
Pooja and himanshu's second flight together.....

Window seat for Arjun on the flight. The excitement is infectious and tiring, he sleeps like a baby (which he is ) during both the flights

The splash pool is so much fun and that is the swimming pool for him, the Olympic size pool at the jaypee club is useless.
All the fancy food pales in front of Puri and aaloo. I guess if given a choice he can have it for all three meals.
The beach is a wonderful place so long as the feet do not get wet. Collecting sea shells is  like collecting a treasure. Each shell personally picked up and washed and kept with mom for safe keeping. How long will the facination last is a question that time will answer. Arjun's Trust in suchi and bhavesh beyond parents and grand parents  is second  To none is an expression that can safely be used.   I hope the kid lives with it for the rest of his life

This note to myself was written on 11 Dec 2011.

Should or could have been a sun and sand picture but this moment of lazing and yawning away to glory was the takeaway moment of the trip for me.

Happy Birthdays are important.

Arjun's 4th birthday showed me that children look forward to their birthdays. And for the next one too. They look forward for the next one too. The cake is an integral part of the event, choosing the cake  is I guess one of the first important decisions taken with far reaching ramifications which will not end with the university that he decides to go to, if he does go to one. His unflinching resolve to be a helicopter pilot is broken only by the thought about the type of helicopters that he would like to fly. Though he has also expressed the desire to be spiderman, the red and blue one, definitely not the black one.
The first one at the golf course followed by the one at home was the end of the choice making from our end, Mc.Donald's followed, which was followed by dominoes. The next venue is 364 days away. Pooja put it like this Arjun  has all that we did not, does that not make me happy ? Sure it does. Hope we can keep up with it. The excitement of receiving gifts followed with the well trained thank you and waiting for the next one to arrive. The excitement to reach home and open the gifts, when all I want to do is plonk on the bed but I do manage to close the day with reading the bedtime Peter pan story till shut eye happens.  Another day ends.
